PPL Electric Utilities will raise distribution rates for customers by about $6.48 monthly for typical residential bills and 3.23% starting July 1 in local service areas. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission approved the increase to fund infrastructure upgrades, improved reliability and low-income assistance.
