- ➤ Bethlehem Co-op Market will not set a firm opening date for its 7,000 sqft grocery store (250 E. Broad St.) until it meets its funding goals; the nonprofit is seeking donations and member-owner loads to close a $160K gap before opening. WFMZ
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ At a Dec. 17 holiday concert at Northeast MS, the Bethlehem Municipal Band marked 36 years of service as longtime director Donald Kemmerer stepped down; new director David Crosby led the finale. Kemmerer will still perform with his family (Matthew and Joshua). Bethlehem Press
- ➤ The Lehigh/Keystone Model Railroad Museum on Linden Street hosted an open house where weekend themes (Dec. 14 featured Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends) drew visitors to its HO scale layout depicting the Lehigh Valley Railroad route built over 20 years and club members answered questions on design and history. - ➤ In December, Freedom HS celebrated school spirit with course planning, volunteer readings, festive events, and a blood drive. The school also hosted art shows and competitions while its sports teams, including swimming and basketball, began their winter seasons. Bethlehem Press
