- ➤ Students for Sunrise, founded by Lehigh alum Carly Heinberg ‘28, unites students to support children with cancer and chronic illnesses by hosting semester events at hospitals and a Sunrise Day Camp reunion, where members craft placemats and cards to brighten treatment days. The Brown and White
- ➤ The Bethlehem Area Public Library recorded its best Saturday ever when January book sales brought in $9,706 despite harsh winter weather, with all proceeds benefiting library programs. It will host its next sale on Wednesday, March 18 and Saturday, March 21. Bethlehem Press

- ➤ Bethlehem-based OraSure announced Tuesday that its OraQuick HIV self-test, which gives 20-minute results with a simple oral swab, will soon be available in Canada + the company is reducing its global workforce, including 10 positions here, as it aims for post-Covid growth. WFMZ
- ➤ Historic Hotel Bethlehem announced on Tuesday, Feb. 10, that Kelly Ronalds was promoted to general manager — the first woman in 40 years to lead the hotel. She has worked there since 2010 and will focus on raising its profile as a national tourism destination. Bethlehem Press

- ➤ ArtsQuest announced that the Musikfest Music Industry Conference will take place in Bethlehem from Aug. 2–4 as part of Musikfest, where music educators, artists, and industry professionals will join over 30 panels on production, performance, business, and innovation. Bethlehem Press
- ➤ Lehigh Valley Charter HS for the Arts Theatre Department presented Noel Coward’s comedy Blithe Spirit at its black box theatre from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1. - ➤ LVEDC’s Annual Meeting is set for Tuesday, Mar. 17 at SteelStacks at ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem; the event will highlight Eli Lilly’s $3.5 billion investment and record-setting economic development in 2025 plus offer a networking reception with food and drinks. - ➤ Eli Lilly and Company announced a state-of-the-art facility for injectable weight loss medication in Upper Macungie Township (announced Jan. 30 at Curiosity Hall) that will create 850 pharmaceutical jobs and 2,000 construction jobs, with work starting this year and operations beginning in 2031. - ➤ On Feb. 4, more than 500 students from local technical schools competed at the SkillsUSA Council District 11 Championships at the Allentown Agri-Plex. - ➤ LANTA's board approved a fare increase during Tuesday afternoon's meeting, raising single ride prices (from $2.00 to $2.50), day passes (from $4 to $5) and 31-day passes (from $60 to $70) with new fares set to take effect mid-March. WFMZ
