- ➤ Act 1 DeSales University Theatre will perform the absurdist comedy 'Rhinoceros' from Feb. 19 to March 1 at its Center Valley campus — with talk backs and open-captioning on select dates. Cedar Crest College stages the satirical parody 'Puffs' from Feb. 19 to 22 at its Allentown campus. Bethlehem Press
- ➤ On Feb. 22, the Allentown Band will perform its Celebrate Black History Month concert at Christ Lutheran Church, while on March 1 the Moravian University Wind Ensemble presents Song and Dance at Foy Hall (342 Main St.) in Bethlehem. - ➤ PPL announced an increased capital spending plan during a webcast Friday from Allentown. It will invest $23 billion from 2026 to 2029 to build new generation capacity and expand transmission lines and is asking the PUC to approve a rate hike that may add about $8 a month to bills. WFMZ

- ➤ Lehigh Carbon Community College will get a $5-million state grant to build a new science lab for training workers, announced today by Gov. Shapiro at Allentown’s Da Vinci Science Center + the lab will help fill jobs linked to Eli Lilly’s $3.5 billion local investment. Bethlehem Press

- ➤ Lehigh men’s basketball has an 8-4 record at home and a 3-11 record on the road and is working to reduce turnovers and improve communication—key points highlighted after a recent win in Easton. The team will face Boston University on Sunday at Stabler Arena. The Brown and White
