ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A sinkhole on Catasauqua Street has closed the roadway until further notice as crews work nearby and advise motorists to use alternate routes.  WFMZ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • LCCC campuses remain closed as officials work to resolve an IT disruption while forensic teams investigate how the threat occurred (with Canvas, Zoom, and Google remaining accessible). Cybersecurity expert Josh Braskie said that no reopening date has been set.  WFMZ
  • Local technical students tested their mechanic skills Monday in a Lehigh Valley auto competition that gave them hands-on experience in the field. The event showcased growing talent in our area & underscored the practical focus of local educational programs.  WFMZ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Volunteer fire companies in Northampton County and statewide will receive over $900,000 in wildfire funding to upgrade equipment, supplies and training as spring nears. Grants of up to $15,000 will be provided on a cost share basis (including units in Bushkill Township, Walnutport and Cherryville).  WFMZ

  • Lehigh women’s basketball beat Loyola Maryland 68-54 on Monday evening at Stabler Arena in the Patriot League Tournament quarterfinal, moving them into the semifinals. The team will face the winner of Navy and Boston University on Thursday.  The Brown and White
