  • On Wednesday, Second Harvest Food Bank received a $27,265 donation from Dunkin’ of Greater Philadelphia as part of its 14th annual Roast Hunger program—local franchisees also volunteered on-site to pack food boxes and treat staff with coffee and donuts.  WFMZ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Lehigh’s Gender, Leadership and Empowerment Center and the Office of Sustainability have partnered to launch the Spot Me program — a free service that gives students sustainable menstrual products such as cups, discs and period underwear. The initiative evolved from a four-year campaign known as CampusCup and aims to lower costs, reduce waste and help students learn about reusable options.  The Brown and White
  • Since early February, the Lehigh University Pub on the third floor of the renovated Clayton University Center has expanded its menu and attracted students, faculty and visitors with local brews and heritage details like a table made from original building beams—staff plan to boost attendance through student partnerships, happy hours and weekly open mic nights. The restaurant is growing by more than 30% each week while maintaining a safe drinking culture under strict licensing standards.  The Brown and White

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Bethlehem police chief Michelle Kott wants to add cameras at Broad and Center, Broad and Linden, and along Stefko Blvd to help monitor dangerous intersections and improve crime and crash investigations. The $33,000 project comes from a federal grant and council will vote on it on April 25—if approved, the equipment will be bought and installed.  WFMZ
