EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Moira McCarron, a 19-year-old first-gen college student at Moravian University, joined the national honor society Alpha Alpha Alpha—recognizing academic excellence for first-generation students—during an induction ceremony. The society now has 350 chapters in 38 states and requires at least a 3.2 GPA and 30 credits. WFMZ

- ➤ Hamilton Township’s The Wilderz at Pocono Wildlife is busy during baby season, caring for wildlife babies like raccoons, fawns and foxes. Volunteers and donations are needed to fund proper feeding and rehabilitation — a crucial local effort. WFMZ
