- ➤ Bethlehem's Main Street was nominated by USA Today as best in America for the second time, with votes accepted daily until April 6. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Lehigh Valley launches America250, a year-long celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday with guided tours of Revolutionary landmarks, museum exhibits and patriotic events with fireworks and drones. Visitors can join a historic bus tour in Easton and exhibitions at Bethlehem’s Kemerer Museum (showcasing local Moravian heritage) throughout 2026. WFMZ
- ➤ Aly & AJ performed last night at Archer Music Hall in Allentown at 7 p.m. on March 26; they played selections from their new album Silver Deliverer and earlier hits, and ticket prices ranged from $46.05 to $48.40 from the venue website and box office at 939 Hamilton St. Lehigh Valley News
- ➤ The Lehigh Lions club practices traditional Chinese lion dance with weekly rehearsals on campus and community shows at local Bethlehem restaurants, and will compete against the University of Maryland on April 11. The Brown and White

- ➤ Haley Bennett, a cognitive psychology student at Lehigh, is researching spatial attention to see if revisiting visual cues helps recall in classroom settings. Her ongoing study uses eye tracking (electroencephalograms) to analyze distraction effects on first-year students. The Brown and White
- ➤ On Tuesday, Lehigh University Police Department unveiled a memorial honoring Jeanne Clery nearly 40 years after her death, which led to changes in campus safety policies. Community members, university staff and Clery Center representatives gathered (including friends and former officers) to mark her legacy. The Brown and White
- ➤ Lehigh is in the process of appointing a Title IX and Equal Opportunity Compliance Coordinator after Brigid Benicasa left in December. Interim coordinator Kayleigh Baker has served since April and continues in the role + Provost Urban has yet to reply to follow-up emails. The Brown and White

- ➤ New Bethany received a $475,000 state grant to expand its Drop-In Center into a full-service community resource (including a Health Hub, upgraded food pantry, and training space) by renovating over 18,500 sqft; the expansion will boost services for residents in need in Bethlehem. WFMZ
- ➤ PennDOT and state police warn local drivers about text scams that claim unpaid tolls may lead to license suspension. Officials advise residents to use only approved methods (like the official PA Toll Pay app) to verify toll accounts and protect personal information. WFMZ

- ➤ At Patriots Park on Wednesday night, Dieruff athletic trainer Danielle Vogt saved field umpire Mark Weil’s life when he suffered a heart attack during a softball game by performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) until emergency responders arrived. WFMZ

- ➤ Freedom's volleyball team is aiming to reach district finals after a 2-0 start with wins over Bethlehem Catholic and Southern Lehigh. Head coach John Yanek (the Patriots' coach) said the experienced players and newcomers will face Dieruff, Parkland and Delaware Valley this week. Bethlehem Press
- ➤ Liberty’s Hurricanes volleyball team is looking to recover from a 3-11 season last spring. The team will open the season against Parkland this week as they aim for a district berth. Bethlehem Press
- ➤ Junior infielder Raffaele Rogers earned Patriot League Player of the Week on Feb. 16 after batting .556 with two home runs and four RBIs against University of Miami; he said the honor reflects years of growth at Lehigh (and his aim to lead by example). The Brown and White
- ➤ Bethlehem Catholic's new volleyball team, coached by Nick Greenawalt, aims to improve on last season's 3-17 record and win a district playoff game this spring.
