GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ PennDOT announced it will begin a retaining wall project on Route 611 in Williams Twp on Tuesday, April 1, and the road will be reduced to one lane between Browns Drive and Saylors Lane with alternating traffic controlled by signals. The work, which includes slope restoration and road reconstruction near the Delaware Canal, is expected to slow traffic through fall and be completed in September 2026—PKF-Mark III Inc is the general contractor. - ➤ UGI has planned gas replacement projects in Bethlehem that will start April 1 and run Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the work will affect travel on Seneca and South Bergan streets with the first project finishing late April and on East 3rd, South New, Columbia & Adams streets with the second project set to finish mid-May while weather and work conditions may change dates.
