- ➤ Astound donated $50,000 each to local nonprofits on March 4, helping upgrade technology at Boys & Girls Clubs and libraries in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton. This grant supports improved computer labs and teen areas as part of the company’s $81 million network upgrade plan. Bethlehem Press
- ➤ ShopRite of Bethlehem raised nearly $15,000 for hunger relief as part of its annual fundraising contest. Two local associates (Andy Quinby and Fred Prococaccini) will be featured on special edition Cheerios boxes arriving in stores this spring. Bethlehem Press

- ➤ United Airlines will add a fourth daily non-stop flight from Lehigh Valley International (ABE) to Chicago's O'Hare International (ORD) starting April 30, with the mid-day flight scheduled for around 2:15 p.m. WFMZ

- ➤ One Earth Reggae Festival returns to Bethlehem on Saturday, July 11 with live reggae performances, food vendors, and craft stalls. The free event begins at noon and will offer multiple stages, a film screening, and a yoga session (led by Sophie Hami of Hanna Chakra). WFMZ
- ➤ Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda Gallery displayed '4 Realist Painters' featuring works by Albina Herron, James DePietro, Jack Dickerson and Keith Vogrin during February and March. - ➤ LVEDC President Don Cunningham spoke to a full crowd at the March 17 Annual Meeting at ArtsQuest Center, highlighting the region's economic turnaround and the upcoming $3.5 billion pharmaceutical plant by Eli Lilly in Upper Macungie Township (the largest economic project in our area's history). - ➤ At Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation's recent meeting, nearly 1,000 people learned that GDP exceeded $57 billion and jobs reached 343,975, driven by strong sectors such as manufacturing, health care, and finance. - ➤ April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and agencies in Bethlehem are working to protect children by expanding training and safe reporting programs. - ➤ St. Luke’s University Health Network received the Richard L. Doyle Award for Innovative Care Planning for its program that reduced emergency visits and hospital admissions while saving over $400 million.
