  • Donerds Donuts hosts a bi-monthly coffee club for autistic adults with board games, trivia and sensory-friendly activities on the first and last Saturday of each month in Bethlehem, growing from one participant to hundreds and offering a safe, low-pressure space to form social connections + enrich community life.  The Brown and White

  • Easton Coach Company, a long-standing Lehigh Valley transportation business founded over 40+ years ago, moved from 1200 Conroy Place in Forks Township to 926 E. Market Street in Bethlehem at the end of February.  WFMZ
  • Cigar Page is building a new headquarters in Bethlehem that will have the world's largest cigar store and lounge for over 100 employees. The 58,545 sqft facility will open in early 2027 — featuring a 4,400 sqft humidor room with over 750,000 cigars.  Lehigh Valley Economic Development

  • A traveling museum featuring interactive U.S. history exhibits will come to Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Co. ECONOMY NEWS

  • Regional economic leaders met on April 22 at the Lehigh Valley Real Estate Outlook in Upper Macungie Township to highlight strong data—showing a $3.5 billion pharmaceutical investment and award-winning redevelopment in Bethlehem.   • LVEDC elected five new board members and re-elected five current members at its Annual Meeting held at ArtsQuest in Bethlehem on March 17. The board—composed of leaders in business, education and government—will help guide regional economic growth.  Lehigh Valley Economic Development

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Lehigh professors are taking different approaches to using AI in class (some banning all tech while others integrate it for focused learning) as they work to boost student engagement amid changing classroom needs.  The Brown and White
  • Bethlehem Area School District launched a new website to boost engagement during its long-range planning process and invites community members to join a survey. The district also announced school closures on May 19 and Memorial Day, with schedule updates for concerts, registration events, plus enrollment opportunities.  Bethlehem Press

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lower Saucon Township officials announced the new Meadows Road Bridge over Saucon Creek will open Friday, May 8, replacing the 1850s stone arch that closed in April 2018 for safety reasons.  Lehigh Valley Live

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Hilton broke ground on a new Tempo hotel Tuesday morning at 36 W. Third St. in Bethlehem’s SouthSide district — near SteelStacks — with mayor J. William Reynolds and local leaders in attendance.   • The MASB Hope Foundation will host the Saquon Barkley Alpha Invitational at Whitehall High School on June 20-21; top youth flag football teams from across the US will compete while families enjoy food trucks and a vendor village in a festive setting.  WFMZ
  • Lehigh men’s lacrosse (16-15 in overtime) won on Tuesday evening against Boston University in the Patriot League Quarterfinals. Junior Luke Winkler and sophomore Luke Breslin each scored five goals as Boston’s Andrew Pape tied the game with 54 seconds left.  The Brown and White
