  • A car show at Mountain View Drive-In in Bushkill Township drew many local car enthusiasts today. The event featured classics and custom rides including a homemade car built from tubing and steel (manager Julia Higgins and Lehigh Valley Dads Group organizer Dave Padula said it brought the community together).  WFMZ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • International students at Lehigh are celebrating graduation with virtual support and campus events as their families face travel and visa challenges (using home flag pins and personal letters to share milestones), which highlights the community’s care during this major transition.  The Brown and White
  • The final Faculty Senate meeting took place *Friday* at the University Center Boardroom as faculty discussed Lehigh’s budget, working group proposals, and campus climate concerns after memorial resolutions honored long-time professors. Proposals to clarify academic programs and improve teaching evaluations were also presented.  The Brown and White

HEALTH NEWS

  • Liz Matthews turned personal loss and her father's early death from frontotemporal dementia into a commitment to research and advocacy. She has raised about $7,000 for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration and is studying abroad to compare how dementia affects families + using her own experience to guide future work.  The Brown and White
