  • Four new stores opened at Lehigh Valley Mall with Lina’s Ice Cream, Anime World, Amazing Gifts, and Lehigh Mart launching, and about 6 additional stores will debut later this year (including Nori Japan and Pop Mart) ahead of a spring 2027 restaurant opening.  Lehigh Valley Live

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in the Lehigh Valley remained high on Monday, reaching $4.53 per gallon up $1.45 from last year. Experts say prices may rise further this summer as oil costs increase and global tensions persist.  Lehigh Valley Live

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Starting June 15, LANTA will change its schedule by retaining key trips on Routes 101, 214, and 217 + adding partial Sunday service on Route 210 after rider feedback revised proposed cuts. The service changes help support local transit needs + ease travel for commuters.  WFMZ

  • Jefferson Health CEO Dr. Joseph Cacchione detailed plans to expand care and education across the Lehigh Valley — including new nursing schools and a pending four-year medical program — during an upcoming Business Matters interview airing Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on WFMZ-TV.  WFMZ
