Firefighter April Lubenetski, who served since 1999 in Lehigh Township and Emmaus, was honored in a procession from Emmaus Fire Department to the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company after she was laid to rest Saturday.

Many local firehouses joined to remember her service and to honor her battle with occupational cancer — a result of work hazards.

Bethlehem unveiled an upgrade to Yosko Park basketball courts with support from Lehigh University Full Court Peace and community partners through fundraising+ the Full Court Peace club and women’s basketball team painted the courts, fulfilling a promise to repaint them within a year.

Honeygrow, a fast-growing chain from Philadelphia, opened its first Lehigh Valley restaurant on May 23 at Airport Shopping Center on 1872 Airport Road in Hanover Township.
