On Tuesday, the Bethlehem Chamber held its 2025 awards ceremony and honored community leaders, including retired planning director Darlene Heller, who won the new Bethlehem Legacy Award—recognizing her 25 years in planning and zoning in a post-Bethlehem Steel era—with local restaurant Twisted Olive winning the Golden Plate culinary contest. The event also awarded volunteer leader Anne Evans the Star of Bethlehem award, recognized Community Action Development for its work amid federal funding cuts, and celebrated milestone anniversaries for several local businesses.

Xiaomin Fei, 34, of Nazareth was arrested Tuesday night in Palmer Township after allegedly killing his in-laws at their community for people over 55—authorities said he bought the revolver less than 24 hours before the shooting while his wife and two sons remained unharmed.
