- ➤ Bethlehem is launching its Blue Zone Project downtown, where a well-being trail will offer workshops, music, and a salsa class. City leaders say the program will give residents a new way to enjoy outdoor activities—boosting community health and active living. WFMZ
- ➤ Lehigh University’s annual Great Southside Sale takes place at Broughal Middle School athletic field in Bethlehem where donated items are resold below thrift store prices to support South Side youth programs + Carolina Hernandez said the event has helped fund field trips and expand theater programs. - ➤ Lower Mount Bethel Township’s fire department put its new Chevy 6500 Vengeant Apparatus Sandstorm brush truck into service this week to help fight 12 spring brush fires in local fields and woods. The truck, featuring a 400-gallon water tank and cab-operated sweeps, was partly funded by a $100,000 donation from Suzanne Mauser & her husband, while the remaining cost is paid with fire tax funds. - ➤ Palmer Township officials introduced the first public meeting for the Bushkill Creek Greenway Master Plan — a community-driven project to improve flood mitigation, park access, and facility updates. - ➤ On Saturday, June 7th, Bethlehem hosted the 49th annual Rugby Sevens tournament where 32 teams from New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Pennsylvania played about 70 fast-paced matches.
