GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Pennsylvania Turnpike removed the toll plaza at Exit 95 on the Northeast Extension and will begin taking down the toll plaza at Exit 56 in late August as it shifts from traditional booths to open road tolling — a system that will save maintenance costs and reduce CO2 emissions. Officials said all tollbooths are scheduled for removal by the end of 2028, and drivers should expect temporary traffic changes during the work.  Lehigh Valley Live
