Lyons in Allentown, the Heavy Metal Summer Experience gave Lehigh Valley teens hands-on training in sheet metal, piping, plumbing and basic electrical work, including visits to union training centers—campers worked on a lamp project and used an oxy-acetylene torch. The free 10-day camp provided safety gear and tools, ended Friday, and organizers will assess its success for next summer. WLVR
