  • Bethlehem's Wind Creek Casino led Pennsylvania's table games revenue in June with $22.6M — even as its revenue dropped nearly 7% from last June. Overall, table games revenue statewide grew to over $77.2M while Wind Creek's total gaming revenue ranked fifth at $46.8M.  WFMZ
  • Marco’s Pizza from Ohio will open a new store in Whitehall Township at 2588 MacArthur Road by September—another location is planned to open in Bethlehem by the end of the year.  Lehigh Valley Live

  • A 24-year-old driver from Allentown was charged with causing a fatal crash on Oct 13th, 2024 when he lost control attempting an illegal pass on Central Boulevard in Bethlehem—DNA tests linked him to the silver 2009 Honda Accord that struck a utility pole and embankment—he faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after 20-year-old Ezequiel Hernandez-Cartagena died at a hospital.  Lehigh Valley Live

  • ArtsQuest’s Blast Furnace Blues Festival takes place today at SteelStacks campus in Bethlehem with free live performances from blues award winners like Shemekia Copeland and emerging acts such as Dylan Triplett. The event runs from 5-11 p.m. today and from 2-11 p.m. Sunday — local bands and food vendors will add to the lively celebration.  WLVR
  • The Blueberry Festival returns in Bethlehem — featuring local vendors, live music, and family fun this weekend at the downtown park as organizers invite residents to join the celebration.  WFMZ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Bethlehem Public Works and Police installed extra stop signs at 13th and West Market to turn the two-way stop into a four-way stop—hoping to slow traffic and protect pedestrians. Officers will monitor the area during the adjustment period and remind drivers to come to a full stop.  Lehigh Valley News

  • Former Eagles special teams player Bryan Braman died at 38 from a rare form of cancer; a heat advisory was in effect yesterday from 10 AM to 8 PM for parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey—residents were urged to hydrate and limit outdoor activities as heat index values reached up to 104 degrees.  WFMZ
