COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Today, the 46th annual Wheels of Time Rod and Custom Jamboree brings over 1,500 vintage vehicles to Macungie Memorial Park, and Buckeye Road is closed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.—local residents are exempt from the closure. The three-day event continues until August 24 and will feature special displays, live music, and charity activities.  Lehigh Valley Live

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A multi-vehicle crash on I-80 in Dennison Township claimed the life of Bethlehem man Amode Quadik Allen when a car veered off, hit a parked vehicle carrying him, and was struck by a tractor-trailer shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17—state police said.  Lehigh Valley Live

CULTURE NEWS

  • On Wednesday, Aug. 20, The Struts played at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks in Bethlehem to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album 'Everybody Wants' and kept nearly 1,500 fans singing and dancing throughout an 84-minute, 16-song set. Dirty Honey opened the concert with 10 hard-rock songs in 46 minutes—adding extra energy to the night.  Lehigh Valley News
  • Moravian Church Settlements—Bethlehem announced today that Dr. Katherine Faull is the new World Heritage Site Manager and she will begin on September 1; her first public event is the World Heritage Community Celebration on September 6 in downtown Bethlehem.  WFMZ
  • Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission announced its 2025 Tribute to the Arts honorees—abstract artist Michael Freeman, Steven Lichak, museum accessibility advocate Elise Schaffer, and members of the IceHouse Performing Arts Collaborative will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on Sept. 9 from 5:30—7:30 p.m. at 424 Center St. in Bethlehem; tickets cost $25 for the event honoring contributions in visual, performing, and mixed media arts.  Lehigh Valley News
