- ➤ On Monday morning, more than 100 local residents attended a dignified burial ceremony at Cedar Heights Cemetery in Wescosville for the remains of eight unclaimed individuals—organized by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office to ensure they received a respectful farewell. WLVR
- ➤ Seiple Farms in East Allen Township is finishing setup for its 43rd annual fall event—featuring a pumpkin patch with 35 varieties, a 20-acre corn maze with 16 checkpoints, amusement rides, pony rides, food trucks, and farm animals for families. The farm will open this Friday at noon and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m. starting Sept 26. WFMZ

Braun Medical in Bethlehem announced yesterday its new Tromethamine Injection in the EXCEL IV Container 500 mL for the U.S. market—designed to offer a safer alternative to glass bottles with a formulation free of DEHP, PVC or natural rubber latex. - ➤ A bomb threat was reported Monday morning at Trexler Middle School—Allentown School District spokesperson Melissa Reese said the district is investigating the incident. WFMZ

- ➤ Musikfest unveiled its 2026 poster today to celebrate America 250—featuring a cascading keyboard design with an American flag and eagle. Local artist Doug Boehm, who designed his second poster after the 2020 festival was cancelled, said he is honored to have his work on display on canvases, cups and t-shirts. WFMZ
- ➤ Hispanic Heritage Month began on September 15 in the Lehigh Valley and will continue until October 15. - ➤ Today, DeSales University in Upper Saucon Township marks its 60th anniversary — it opened its doors on this day in 1965 to welcome its first freshman class. WFMZ
- ➤ Explore Lehigh is a new pilot program that lets 11 first-year students take classes at two colleges this fall; they complete a required seminar, writing, and math course and choose two electives to help decide on a major—an approach designed to give them more time to explore their options.
