- ➤ Cars and Coffee held on August 24 at SteelStacks and showcased Eurocars on the main lot + classic and muscle cars on a secondary lot while owners shared their restoration stories. Organizers have scheduled the final event for Sept. 21 at 8 a.m. + Koch Automotive Group sponsors the show. Bethlehem Press
- ➤ On Sept. 13, community members gathered at Payrow Plaza to mark the 80th anniversary of World War II’s end and the 61st anniversary of the Bethlehem-Tondabayashi Sister City Commission. Mayor Reynolds said the event honored decades of partnership—messages from Japanese mayors and local artistic performances linked Bethlehem with its sister city. Lehigh Valley Live

- ➤ Bethlehem celebrated its UNESCO World Heritage designation of the historic Moravian Church site on Sept 6—an honor that is expected to boost cultural tourism; local awards also named the city one of the Top 100 Best Places to Live and recognized its Main Street as the best. - ➤ Bethlehem's new World Heritage Site manager, Dr. Katherine Faull, who has studied the Moravians for more than 30 years, took on the role in September—she will lead academic, tourism and global partnership efforts at the historic sites—while also continuing her work at The Institute for Moravian History and World Heritage at Moravian University. - ➤ Moravian University secured a grant to restore the 277-year-old Second Single Brethren’s House at 99 West Church St. — the $750K funding will replace all 91 windows with historically accurate, energy-efficient models — preserving this key World Heritage site. Lehigh Valley Live
- ➤ Wine & Cheese with Lafayette will take place on Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the 1869 Luckenbach Mill in Bethlehem + in the Colonial Industrial Quarter. - ➤ Bethlehem Area School Board discussed a plan to temporarily withhold 30% of charter school tuition payments amid a state budget impasse, with Superintendent Jack Silva saying a resolution may be recommended next month—intending to restore funds with backpay once a budget is passed.
