- ➤ Burnside Plantation is hosting the final day of its Apple Days festival today from 10 am to 5 pm—offering historic demos like blacksmithing, tinsmithing, candle making, house tours, and a scavenger hunt. Special events manager Beth Beatty said kids can also make 18th-century souvenirs with a quill pen. WFMZ
- ➤ Bethlehem’s new Foundry Recording Studio opened on Sept. 18 at 1885 W. Market St.—the 6,000-square-foot space offers recording sessions from $30 to $100 per hour and includes a community lounge for networking and tours available Monday through Saturday. CEO Jason Wegfahrt said the facility is designed to serve artists, engineers and producers with top-notch equipment and creative spaces. WLVR

- ➤ Lehigh University launched the Africana Book Club to counter the removal of African diaspora literature and promote Black works, with founder Simone A. James Alexander and English professor Lyndon Dominique leading discussions after invited lectures.
