- ➤ Dori Jones, co-founder and CEO of AcQumen Medical, won the StartUp Lehigh Valley competition over the summer for her heart tracker device called UltraTrac—she was awarded $20,000 to improve the tool for checking babies' hearts in community hospitals. - ➤ This October, watershed stewards will host a free Tap Talks workshop on bats on Oct. 8 at Gallows Hill Spirits Co and the 10th Watershed Conference on Oct. 14 at the Ben Franklin Technology Center in Bethlehem—both events set to improve local knowledge on water protection. - ➤ B. Braun Medical Inc. announced yesterday that its IV Solutions portfolio not made with DEHP or PVC, along with its Plastic Irrigation Containers and Pip-Taz in DUPLEX, received Nurse Approved Certification — a sign of its commitment to nurse safety and efficient care. The FDA-approved DUPLEX system reduces process steps and saves nearly four minutes per dose, lowering the chance of medication errors. WFMZ
