  • Residents are invited to submit wildlife photos taken with their trail cameras to be featured on a website this fall. A white-tailed deer buck was captured on September 21, and submissions with permission for publication and a name must be sent by Oct. 31 (details provided by lehighvalleylive.com).  Lehigh Valley Live
  • Yesterday, the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem brought community members together with a 5K run and parade—benefiting from beautiful weather and festive Irish music that helped locals connect during challenging times. The festival ended at 10 p.m. after a day filled with food and lively cultural celebrations.  WFMZ

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Lehigh Valley International Airport set a summer record—299,779 passengers traveled between June and August—as monthly counts remained above 85,000 since March. August brought 97,179 travelers, a 0.75% increase over last year, and airlines like United, Delta and Allegiant grew while American Airlines declined as new routes and cargo operations expanded.  Lehigh Valley Live

CULTURE NEWS

  • Yacht Rock Revue will perform at 8 p.m. March 27 at Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, offering soft rock hits from the '70s and '80s. Tickets ranging from $39.50 to $59.50 went on sale Friday, Sept. 26.  Lehigh Valley News
  • At Dorney Park, Halloween Haunt began on Friday with upgrades that make attractions like Blood on the Bayou—now with enhanced animatronics—more scary and fun, while Tourist Trap and Ghost in the Machine also received new effects.   • Lehigh named Michael Gould as its interim chief investment officer last August after former chief Kristin Agatone left to manage Georgetown University’s team, and he now oversees a $2.2B endowment that supports scholarships and financial aid.   • Bethlehem developer David Ronca and Macada Partners proposed to demolish a deteriorated home at 1625 Glenwood St. and build a three-story, 18-unit apartment complex with 12 two-bedroom and six one-bedroom units, receiving zoning board approval for a parking variance that allows 23 off-street spaces and seven lay-by spots pending further city approval—local residents have raised concerns about traffic in the area.  Lehigh Valley News
