  • Pennsylvania American Water gave local residents a firsthand look at its waste water management process on Saturday — the company showed how water is treated to ensure safety in our community.  WFMZ

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Bethlehem police and state officials said e-bike and scooter crashes have risen sharply with multiple fatalities and injuries recorded as increased use by riders of all ages prompts calls for better enforcement of Pennsylvania laws.  WLVR

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Steel Ice Center in South Bethlehem will add a 34,000-square-foot expansion that includes its third ice rink and a 6,000-square-foot fitness facility with gym space, stretch and recovery lab and locker area. Owner Keith Krem said the project was allowed by right in the Industrial Redevelopment District and is planned to ease scheduling pressures for early youth practices and late-night adult sessions — meeting high local demand.  Lehigh Valley News

  • The Grammy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir performed at Zoellner Arts Center on Saturday night, Oct. 11, sharing a powerful tribute to their South African roots with songs in many languages and choreographed dance. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced new glamping sites at eight state parks on Oct. 7 for reservations in 2026, including French Creek and Hickory Run. The agency invested $400,000 and formed a five-year partnership with Timberline Glamping Co. to offer 61 safari-style tents (with real beds, heat, air-conditioning, lighting, and outdoor seating) with nightly rates ranging from $130 to $200.  Lehigh Valley Live

HEALTH NEWS

  • Lehigh Valley Health Network dedicated a new cancer immunotherapy center after Peter and Odete Kelly donated $12M on Sept. 30 in Salisbury Township.
