- ➤ At Steel Ice Center in Bethlehem, the annual holiday skating show will take place this Sunday from 4 p.m. to around 6 p.m.—skaters of all ages, including special guests Mr. and Mrs. Claus, will perform after extra practice and dress rehearsals. WFMZ
- ➤ Communities across the region will host several Christmas tree-lighting events to spread holiday cheer and support families in need—Bethlehem’s Christmas City celebration at Payrow Plaza will light a 43-foot spruce tree with over 25,000 LED lights on Friday at 4:30 p.m.—while other towns offer festive music, treats, and donation drives. - ➤ Bethlehem Police served an early Thanksgiving dinner at New Bethany Ministries on Tuesday, offering turkey, ham, green beans, potatoes, gravy, and dozens of pies from Broughal Middle School—continuing a tradition that began in 2016 with help from local groups. WFMZ
- ➤ On Nov. 1st, the 15th Tucker’s Toy Run delivered thousands of toys to St. Luke’s pediatric unit in its final run as 800 to 900 bikers rode from the Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club through several municipalities to the Bethlehem campus in Fountain Hill—organizer Rick Nauman said the event raised $550,000 and provided over 60,000 toys in 15 years. - ➤ Last Call Closeouts — a new liquidation store offering discounted clothing, home décor and furniture — will open soon at 3143 William Penn Highway in Palmer Township. Owner Lisa Carvalho from Bethlehem said the store will operate Tuesday through Sunday and will also sell items online. WFMZ

- ➤ The East Hills MS Chargers band is marching in the 6abc Dunkin’ Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade today; led by band director Christy Davis — the group with 115 members — they will perform three songs and leave Bethlehem at 5:30 a.m. for the event. Bethlehem Press

- ➤ Victaulic is hiring over 80 workers at its three Lehigh Valley locations. The Forks Township facility needs 69 workers and the company has launched an advertising campaign to attract skilled tradespeople — growth in manufacturing is driving demand. WFMZ
- ➤ Lehigh Valley International Airport in Hanover Twp reported one of its strongest Octobers ever with 93,240 passengers—a 13% increase from last year. Allegiant Air saw a nearly 25% jump and launched a new nonstop service to Fort Myers while its pilots held pickets amid an ongoing contract dispute. WFMZ

- ➤ Lehigh Valley Charter HSfor the Arts in Bethlehem earned an Overall A+ grade from Niche’s 2026 Best High Schools Rankings—ranking as the state's top charter school in Pennsylvania—and is set to hold auditions for the next school year with events on January 30, Feb 13, and Feb 14; the school will also host an open house on December 5 for interested families. - ➤ The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission said energy supply prices for all regulated electric utilities will adjust on Dec. 1—raising electric bills for homes and small businesses in Bethlehem. The agency also reminded consumers that heating usage and weather factors affect bills while urging those needing help to contact utility assistance programs. WLVR
