- ➤ Participants tossed Christmas trees at More Miles Automotive on Stefko Boulevard on Dec. 20, raising $3,277 to support survivors of abuse in Lehigh and Northampton counties through Turning Point (a nonprofit refuge for survivors). - ➤ The Lower Saucon Police Department offers Project Lifesaver, a free program that uses small wrist or ankle transmitters to help locate adults and children with cognitive conditions within 30 minutes—95% faster than usual methods; interested residents should call the Bethlehem Health Bureau or program coordinators to enroll. - ➤ Northampton County awarded 49 Public Safety Grant Awards totaling $600,000 to local public safety agencies; County Executive Lamont G. McClure announced the grants Friday. They will fund critical upgrades such as new ambulances and radio systems (improving emergency response). WLVR
